I took this photo on the way to work one morning. It says something profound about us but I can never quite give it voice. The noble eagle atop the flagpole stands in defiance/contrast to the common blackbirds on the horrid, ubiquitous signage. Like Wal Mart and other corporate juggernauts some of us have a love/hate relationship with Mickey D's. Love the french fries and apple pies while hating the crowds, the sterile conformity and the filthy facilities.
